Exam One, Down. Plus some impressive wedding tricks.

Our first exam is done- we have two more to go.  One more that is shared, and one more each on our own.  My boyfriend has federal income tax (yuck) and I have Admin Law (double yuck).  Admin would be horrible-- but luckily mine is pass/fail.  So, yay.

Anyway, if you've ever been to a bridal shower, you've had to endure the "Toilet Paper Bridal Dress" game.  It's really just a disaster and it's insulting.  HOWEVER, some kids have put that game on its head and created some toilet paper wedding gowns worthy of Project Runway challenges.  Because they make you do that sort of thing on that show.

Anyway, a good friend is now a teacher at Dreyfoos School of the Arts, and it was some of the kids at his school who created these masterpieces.   (He also sent me the link)  Here are some highlights:

Skyward Sword

I understand this isn't very stylish of me, but in addition to my preoccupation with style, boyfriend, and minka, I have another love in my life, and that love is Link.

I have literally been playing the Legend of Zelda series since I could remember.  I had, or rather, my father had, the original Zelda and its sequel on NES.  I fell head over heels with the series over playing "Link to the Past."  And just when you thought it couldn't get any better- Ocarina of Time hit the N64.  I could play either of those games over and over.  (Link's Awakening, Four Swords, Oracle of Seasons, Windwaker, I liked, but seriously- they do not compare.  We'll just pretend phantom hourglass and majora's mask didn't happen.  Especially Majora's mask.)

And honestly, I loved Twilight Princess.  Really, thoroughly enjoyed it and spent a whole summer determined to get every last golden bug and poe there was.  I was successful in my bug mission.  There are still two poes that evade me and I have come to realize that no matter what I do, they will always be out of reach unless I reset the game and follow a list.

So you can appreciate how sad I am to NOT be playing Skyward Sword.  This is all I want to do.  I do not want to study for the bar, I do not want to study for finals.  I want to lock myself in a room and have a love affair with that game for two weeks.

I am going to be a sad panda now.

(Other games I luuurve?  The final fantasy series, which I love equally as much as Zelda and have been playing for about as long, Assassin's Creed, GTA, haha, I know, right?  Soul Caliber(!!) Super Smash Brothers when with friends, of course I love Mario games, though the Super Mario Galaxy game had me a little dizzy.  I also kiiind of want to play the new golden eye, but boyfriend says it's never going to be the same and I should just give up.  There's others.. but those are the top.  I liked Heavenly Sword, but I think I was the only person who did. :/)

Quick Minka Update

Minka is super excited for finals, too.

they are basically what I'm thankful for this year.  I'm thankful for all the people that love me, namely my boyfriend, my kitten, my parents, and my boyfriend's family.  :)

FINALS

Now's about the time when you start thinking: Why was I playing poker in civil procedure?  When exactly did i-chatting through elements seem like a good idea?

It more than likely never was, but there's just about nothing you can do about it now- unless of course you get working on memorizing Emanuels cover-to-cover.  But let's be serious- you're likely in the same boat as say about 60% of your class.  Of course there is that 40% who were paying attention, but they were going to get A's regardless of your input.  Now you just have to wade your way through to a B+ (haha).

You know your odds are good when you're discussing finals with your professor and he tells you that getting 1/2 of his multiple choice is on the road to an A.  Seeing as you are statistically likely to get 1/4 right by chance, you're already off to a good start.

I know you probably think you're doomed....

but remember... Some things never change.
